Late '80s Philadelphia-area hardcore, originally named Suburban Uprise.

The Uprise formed in June 1986 and played their last show in Fall 1988. Over that time they shared bills with the likes of Warzone, Cro-Mags, Dag Nasty, Youth Defense League, Raw Power, Dayglo Abortions, Pagan Babies, Vision, The Exploited, Uniform Choice, The Mentors, and Social Distortion. City Gardens in Trenton, NJ and Club Pizazz in Philly were home base for playing and hanging out. They released the "One by One" 7" in the winter of '88, and also appeared on the compilations " U.S. of Oi!" on Link Records and "The Spirit of Oi!–American Style" on Oi!core Records.
Members of the band went on to play in various other bands including; New Glory, Everyday Dollars, Brickhouse, Jah Witness, and The Mad Hatters
