By the way, this lot are chronically underrated - and under-listened-to, it seems. FWIW I like Lucky Gilchrist, a lot. The title-track makes me want to cry. Not quite sure if it's as good as The Bairns but it was tied for first place in my 2009 album of the year nevertheless.

What nobody? no comments? Halfway through first listen to the new album, which by the way seems to have a very limited availability. Will reserve judgement until it is a little more ingrained, however do I detect a little optimism? I love the bleakness and sombre tone of the previous two cds (actually I take the observation back, someone else has just died ,in the lyrics at least, I think that makes two suicides and a murder so far - that's better).
