Biography
Rephlex’s co-founder, Grant Wilson-Claridge, stated in an e-mail interview that the Tuss is not Richard D. James. He said;
“People seem more interested in speculation and celebrity than content, quality or music. Be careful you don’t miss something really great that isn’t really famous.”
In the same interview he also stated that;
“There are so many good records out there; just support the artists providing the entertainment you love with your purchase of a new original edition in decent proportion to your usage of it. There are also tons of legends myths, rumours, and fallacies that arise and become publicly accepted as truth, and maybe that’s one reason that so much of contemporary opinion is too far from the ideal.”

Pretty sure the whole point of this and every other single Aphex moniker is to see if people can still like certain music without knowing it's an artist they.. 'should' like. it's a trap I'd say 95% of humanity falls into, but hey let's all try and listen to good music objectively.

okay, i'm listening to Synthacon 9, and this is so obviously Aphex Twin that it hurts. that said, I support Rephlex's message about giving new artists a chance, and commend them for sticking to their guns on the shtick.

keep in mind folks, dick is short for richard, and "tuss" in the cornish dialect means an erection... it is rather straightforward that this is richard d james. he is doing it mostly because his soon to be ex-wife wants to take him for every last dollar he's made, and he knows she isn't even worth the last few ml of semen he grudgingly shot up her cunt.
