THE TRESPASS project began its existence in june 2001 in the district of Paris when the twin brothers Blackell & Kruwll decided to from their own dark musical band.

The band started with the original members Vincent C. (aka Blackell) as a singer and a guitarist, Benjamin C. (aka Kruwll) as a keyboarder, Xavier B. (aka Kath) as the drummer and Michael H. (alias Afterglauk) as a bassist. Two months later, Jean-louis B. (LJ Slut) joins the band as a lead guitarist.

So, the five members start to compose their own music inspired by 70-80s post punk, new wave and glam rock styles which deeply marked decades by their provocating ambiguity. The first demo recordings allow Trespass to define its style among the actual french alternative scene.

In march 2002, the band records its first MCD (“Shattered Time’s Era”). During the following months, several other songs are recorded to complete it. Many copies are distributed in france by the band itself. Thus, Trespass is welcomed with a growing enthusiasm by the internationnal goth community.

During the 2002-2003 period, the band gives many concerts and also prepare its new autoproduction entitled “The Death Wave”. In a promotionnal purpose, more attention has been brought to the production and the tracklisting (five tracks that show all the directions of Trespass’s deathwave). In fact it’s the first true autoproduction of the five members. Actually, the band wish to be more promotted by medias through many interviews, articles and reviews.

July 2003, LJ Slut leaves the band after two years of activity in the band. So, the four remaining members look for a new guitarist to go on easier with concerts. In that connection, Baptiste A. aka Marcy joins the bands as the new guitar player. The alternative rock side of Trespass begin to evolve…

In september 2003, the band releases “The Death Wave”. Do not blend it with the last mcd cause it’s a brand new 14 titles CD compilation which gathers the first (Shattered time’s era) and second(TDW) demo cds of the band plus four original songs recorded during the year 2002.

At the same period, New Dark Age vol.1, a new goth compilation, in which participate Trespass is released. It’s here the first official apparition of Trespass under a label ; The austrian independant label called Strobelight records…


It’s in june 2004, after a long period of rehearsals and some concerts, that a new turning point happens for the band. Michael H. and Xavier B. end up their participation and leave the original line-up of Trespass in order to follow up their respective personnal projects: Deadchosky and Alternative Zero.
In consequence, the three remaining members look for the one who could give Trespass a new rhythm…

Autumn 2004, following to many auditions, the new drummer is finally incarned by Guil J… Strong of his progressive influences, he brings a new color to the band’s numbers. The live bass parts are played by both Kruwll and Blackell. So the works for the forthcoming LP can begin…
