The Third Ending

Formed by four Tasmanian musicians, The Third Ending is a progressive rock band signed to Progrock Records. The band’s music is reminiscent of Dream Theater, Spock’s Beard (and the Beard’s former singer/songwriter, Neal Morse), Kevin Gilbert, Porcupine Tree—all while managing to keep its own distinctive sound.

The band released its self-titled debut album in 2006, and is self-distributing it. CDs can be purchased from the band’s website.

Awesome news that these guys are finally back - I've been waiting for years, literally. I was worried we might never hear from them again. Great new single anyway, long may they continue.

We're currently busy in the studio working on album number two, so to save you all asking "where's the new music?" you can sign up to our mailing list below and we'll keep you posted when it's on its way. Alternatively you can check out the old site and/or order the debut album. Go on. Do it. You know you want to.

This album has grown on me from being good to excellent. I was expecting a heavier album, so that prob disapointed me, but now i can appreciate how good it is.

It's a pretty good album, but im a bit disapointed. I hyped it up too much. Still a solid album, cant wait for their next one. Best tracks so far are Eleven, Back Home and Digital Sunrise

Eleven is a great song. Some other songs from the album are also as great or greatest than Eleven, but not all of them, naturally. But the album is definitely worth a listen. It is one of the greatest releases of 2007, in my opinion...

Is the rest of the album as good as Eleven (the only song I've heard)? I might get it if all the songs are at least that level, otherwise I have other priorities.
