1904 sounds kinda loud. Should be scrawnier. Great song though.

By the way,I'd like to ask you guys:what is the fucking problem with the Dylan influence on Kristian's work? Jesus, you talk about this as if Kristian was being hugely stupid by showing how much Dylan inspired his way of writing songs... I mean, that's what musical legends are supposed to do,right? They're supposed to leave a legacy, a musical inspiration that will resist time and will reach talented people, just like Kristian. Bob Dylan is no "superoriginal", if that word exists. His work was also fully inspired by Woody Guthrie, a folk legend, and nobody gave a fuck about it, you know why? Because Dylan was good, took good references, and that was it, he was good enough to become a musical hero. Kristian is the new Dylan? Too soon to tell. But, so far, what I can assure you guys is: he's hugely talented, and his influences are only details. It doesn't matter whose voice he imitates, or whose lyrics he's being inspired by. Talent. That's all.

1904 is one of his most beautiful songs so far. I'm pretty excited to There's No Leaving Now. It's gonna be huge. 1904 is one of those rare songs he plays with no fingerpicking at all - just like the wild hunt, king of spain and the gardener - wich coincidentally are my favorite songs. His new songs - Little Brother, 1904 and Bright Lanterns are very different from his old ones, there are more instruments, different arrangements and he's also trying new vocal techniques. When I heard 1904 I found his voice less sharp than usual. Yet, it's great. I love Kristian because he's got a superpower to improve and get better and better all the time. He still surprises me with his talent, even now, 4 years from the first time I heard his voice. Love you, Kristian, the most amazing folk-singer on Earth.
