Fenton, Detroit MI, United States (2002 – 2014)

The Swellers was a quartet from Fenton, Michigan, formed in 2002. Their music is fast and melodic, drawing heavy influences from 1990s skate punk. The current lineup consists of Nick Diener (guitar & lead vocals), Jonathan Diener (drums & backing vocals), Ryan Collins (guitar) and Anto Boros (bass). They were previously signed to Fueled By Ramen, but announced that they have left the label on April 20, 2012. In 2013 they signed to No Sleep Records and re-released their 2012 EP ‘Running out of Places to go’

The band played on the Vans Warped Tour in 2005 and had a short tour in Japan following the Japanese release of The Beginning of the End Again.

The Swellers self-released their first two EPs (Long And Hard in 2002, End of Discussion in 2003) and in 2005, The Beginning of the End Again was released on Search and Rescue Records (US) and Radtone Music (Japan). The band’s debut full-length, entitled My Everest, was released June 5, 2007 on Search and Rescue Records.

Since then the band has been touring nonstop around the U.S. and Canada with bands like Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, A Wilhelm Scream, Polar Bear Club, Crime In Stereo, Set Your Goals, Four Year Strong, Broadway Calls, Living With Lions and Fireworks.

The Swellers recently completed a tour as an opening act for The Early November. During the tour they also played along with The Wonder Years and Young Statues.

Past members include Garrett Burgett, Lance Nelson, Nate lamberts, Nick Ondovcsik, and Brad Linden

Nah, talked to them at a show. They're impatient from touring almost non-stop, but none of them will give you crap for it. They're all nice people, and I got to flex with Nick.

I don't know what Saezerim is talking about, actually that's a lie, i know exactly what he's talking about but i'm not sure why he's going out out of his way to troll the swellers and on of all places. They''re all nice dudes, the bassist is a bit flamboyant and might be a drunk, but all in all pretty chiil dudes. 9/10 would smoke a blunt with.

I hear these guys are pretty pompous assholes. When a band's tags are "pop punk" and "melodic hardcore" you can be certain their music is trash. At least the band name aptly reflects their egos. Ya blew it.

New album kills it. Will always say this band came 10 years too late. Imagine the tours they could have been on in 2003.

Love the new album guys. Very 90's guitar rock / punk sounding. Perfect imo. My favorite release so far this year!

New album sounds a lot like Weezer's first 3 albums in some parts. If you look at my charts, you can tell that's a good thing!
