About this album

6 tracks (21:50)
This collection of songs first appeared in 2007 and was the Suburban Pirate’s first look at middle class life.
The track ‘East Dulwich Bag’ was used for a Dulwich campaign to help rid the streets of plastic bags.
Robin of Dulwich is about a local campaign to grow an apple orchard in Dulwich.

Oh No Capuccino.
We used to go to the old coffee house in Earls Court called the Troubador and play music in the basement. Its a long way from Starbucks and the other coffee chains.

The Animals Go In 4x4s Hurrah!
We all love to hate the 4x4. Those massive tank-like cars that take one small child ‘safely’ to school. Of course it turns out that a cow produces as much CO2 as a 4x4, espcecially when that cow is driving it at top speed

The Suburban Pirates 13th Nervous Breakdown.
Englishness is hard to define nowadays especially when the English cricket team sports players from all over the globe.

East Dulwich Bag.
Our local London village has now got its own cloth bag in an attempt to ban the plastic version. This pisstake went down well with the campaigners who produced the bag.

Robin Of Duwich.
A local tory councillor has planted a load of trees and even made an urban orchard down our road. This song tells the story of the good tory.

A Cosy (shaky) East Dulwich Christmas.
As the economy settles down to a good old fashion recession the locals start cueing down the local fancy butchers. Shaking Stevens never played on this record but we imagine he did.
