Bloody marvellous. I had no idea of the ManU connection, but then I am not that interested in the fitball, so the song stands as a classic on its own. This whole album was a revelation when it came out
i always thought it was "it may go right but it might go wrong, this is the one..." but every website has it as "a merry goodbye then i don't rhyme, this is the one..." surely not... anyway amazing song great for settling my nerves.

I remember being quite depressed after listening to the Stone Roses' LP the first time. I was in a band playing guitar and feeling optimistic about our potential. After hearing the Stone Roses I realised I was pissing in the wind.
