The Sound Criminals formed in January 2009 after lead singer Stu, and lead guitarist Al met up at a Devon pub and discovered that they both had a musical past, and decided to put a band together. They had to look no further than behind the bar of the pub to find bass player Alex, and they later found a drummer called Alan to join them. Alan didn’t stay too long, and a couple of months later they were joined by another drummer Gary.
The four of them continued writing songs, playing gigs and rehearsing where ever they could find space. In the autumn of 2009 they found an old barn, ex studio live room, and more recently, a storage space that was leaking, damp and rotting. They spent the winter fixing it up and converting it into a rehearsal/recording studio. The Sound Criminals started recorded in January 2010 in their then unfinished studio.
