ok folks, I was 24 years old, just got kicked out the Army for smoking pot, didn't have a care in the world, the world was my oyster, I tell ya. So me and my Army buds camped out in front of this record store to get Smashing Pumpkins tickets in Austin, Texas for their upcoming Siamese Dream tour. We smoked pot. Hell, I was already kicked out the Army, just waiting for the paperwork to go through, so what the fuck, right? Anyhoo, we got the tickets and smoked more pot. Fast-forward to the show: I was a free man, fired from the military, so I got a bunch of mushrooms before the show. Me and my buds were trippin perfectly during the opening act (Blind Melon) and all seemed relatively calm. Then the Pumpkins came on. My trip took a definite turn for the insane. They played this song for OVER 9 minutes. At least it seemed that way. I don't know. I was wonderfully fucked up, in the middle of a wonderfully fucked up crowd with lots of hotties. Billy Corgan looked like a God. Maybe he was God?
