Phil Knight. Keyboardist, soundscapes, etc., another vegetarian Englishman in exile. Formed The Legendary Pink Dots in England in 1980 with Edward Ka-Spel and has been with the group since. Commonly referred to as The Silverman, also went by “Phil Harmonix”.

    ah! i'm jealous. there was no opener in detroit, they just started right in (which was cool) and the band was very available prior to the show, talked to the silverman and raymond steeg for quite a while!

    yeah, would be great to see an ed / silverman solo show. i was really hoping edward would open for the LPDs on this tour. oh well! was still awesome. i can't decide what my favorite silverman is yet - especially since i'm still missing some earlier albums.

    awesome. talked to him for a good 15-20 minutes at a recent LPD show about his solo work. also picked up sun with a beating heart, nature of illusion, and woodland calling while i was there. and got them signed! also, the new one - "blank for your own message" is really cool. out on BLRR.

    Silvermandala 1 is strongly reminds me of NEU! and Faust. probably sampled from their recordings and slightly processed, thus - not his virtue
