The Scatologists were a third-wave ska band formed in the mid 1990’s by guitarist and songwriter, Greg Fain. They are considered to be the greatest ska band ever to emerge from the state of Delaware. Other key members of the band included Jon Monck (bass and toasting vocals), Scott Morris (drums), P.J. Gorenc (vocals), Paul Arbogast (trombone), and Matt Hetzler (saxophone). They had a sound heavily influenced by 1970’s funk.

The Scatologists released two major recordings:

* Skank For Your Life (1995)
* Nuts and Berries (1998)

They were frequently introduced by Gregory Kohs with his memorable opening line, “People of earth…”.

The band appeared for a final reunion around Halloween 2002, for an incredibly vibrant show at the East End Cafe in Newark, Delaware.
