What happened to the good old days? Hardcore has seen their heroes come and go, do reunions, and retire back to the dusty record collection. While so-called punk bands have been selling energy drinks and hybrid cars, THE SCARE has been honoring their DIY roots while forging new paths in the world of melodic hardcore and punk.
THE SCARE has honed their craft while paying homage to their hometown of Washington D.C. THE SCARE’s melodic yet urgent sound has been often compared to the stalwarts DAG NASTY.

It doesn’t just end with riffs and sing-a-longs. THE SCARE has a unique aesthetic that takes cues from the world of classic horror movies and comic books. The marriage of these subculture are what makes THE SCARE one of the most innovative and groundbreaking bands today.
