The Sabri Brothers (aka Sabri Brothers), are a Pakistan band - sometimes, referred to as “Roving Ambassadors for Pakistan”. For over thirty years, they have inspired international cross-cultural audiences - bringing joy, spiritual solace & comfort.

Following the great qawwali tradition that was established over 700 years ago by Hazrat Amir Khusro in Delhi, today it is the Sabri Brothers who are thrilling and inspiring countless people at home in the Indo-Pak Subcontinent and in foreign lands. The Sufi message of Divine Love, which they carry and deliver through their traditional qawwali, is the universal message of compassion, peace, generosity and love of all creation.
The Sabri Brothers’ musical lineage stretches back over centuries, passing down through many generations of great musicians to the time of the Moghul Emperors. They are the direct descendants of the legendary Mian Tansen, the great singer at the Court of Akbar.
Originally there were four Sabri Brothers. The eldest brother, Haji Ghulam Farid Sabri passed away in 1994. A man of immense spirituality he is considered by many to be a saint. Haji Kamal Sabri, a master of the vocal techniques of tan tarana, passed away very recently in 2001. Now the two younger brothers, Haji Maqbool Ahmed Sabri and Mehmood Ghaznavi Sabri, are the Sabri Brothers.
Haji Maqbool Ahmed Sabri, founder and Musical Director of the Sabri Brothers, is a charismatic artist of rare genius. Since the tender age of five, he has devoted his entire life to music and the perfecting of his art.
