"Lady Jane" is a song by The Rolling Stones that featured on their 1966 album Aftermath. It delivers an Elizabethan atmosphere with its lyrics and haunting instrumentation showcasing Brian Jones on dulcimer, and was rumored at one point to be about the wives of Henry VIII.   • Brian Jones, who was The Stones guitarist until his death in 1969, played the dulcimer, an instrument you play on your lap by plucking or strumming the strings.
