The Rise was a five piece band from Austin, Texas, Their sound was a combination of metalcore, hardcore techno, post-hardcore and metal. Their freshman album Signal to Noise was released under Ferret Records in 2001 The band was last signed to ReIgnition Recordings and their latest album, Reclamation Process, was released as a free album for subscribers of Law Of Inertia, the rock mag product of Rise frontman Cory Kilduff, They toured constantly in 2001-2004, and broke up in 2005 shortly after their sophmore release.

    These guys were so fucking ill. It's a shame they called it quits because ferret blows at marketing their good bands.

    Not really much love around for this band, I really liked them. Concept of Transience, Goals Methodology Assessment and The Machine Question were quality. Maybe it's because people thought they were a cheap Refused knock-off (not that I'm saying that).

    Both albums of these guys are amazing. They played with Mr Body in the early 00's, I wish I had been there to see both of those amazing bands ripping it up!

    i disagree about their second album being more generic, btw! i'd say i enjoy it more than the first and it goes by too fast.. the ending is great and i'm glad i still have my copy of law of inertia!
