Absolutely wonderful jazz! Recorded in 1932 when real jazz was not a financial proposition, these tracks only made it because of the presence of Billy Banks a completely awful singer who was apparently the commercial appeal. But the musicians involved (Red Allen, Pee Wee Russell, Gene Krupa, Fats Waller, Al Hall, Pops Foster and Tommy Dorsey in various combinations) make this a "must have" for any lover of real jazz
