Scotlands best ever Punk Rock band!!!! :)

One of the pinnacles of pop-inflected punk. It's a shame this was recorded by trend-hopping hipsters who were bored with punk after cranking out only about a dozen three-minute masterpieces. Like most poppy punk acts, the Rezillos make music that hearkens back to the dawn of rock and roll. But their mining of the past goes beyond early rock instrumentation and song structure: they even seem to adopt a late-50s/early-60s vision of the future. This is reflected in their themes (viz. sci-fi concerns and (relatively) innocent boy-girl), their image (viz. day-glo outfits and "futuristic" eyewear), and their sound (viz. the relatively clean production in which all the instruments are clearly delineated). Depending on your sensibility, their retro futurism may play as kitsch or camp. I can't laugh at it, however: their 50s dream future--even with its occasional flying saucer attacks--is so much more beautiful than our actual future. Another dream deferred, I suppose.

The Rezillos are the best band ever to come out of the punk new wave Scottish scene. full of fun and energy and still going strong.looking forward to their next visit to Aberdeen.
