Hopefully future listeners can recognize this properly as the masterpiece it is instead of so many dismissing it because it's not super weird. As I get older, the early Residents being so weird isn't so thrilling anymore, but I appreciate the emotional depth of this record more and more.
This album rejuvenated the band imho, they had just gotten off the back of a very mediocre run of failed experiments, the pop edge makes this one for me... an edge they had lost a long time ago. Sure it's more pop then people would wan't from a Residents record but I think it's great fun, though not their best... I save that accolade for 'Duck Stab' 'Animal Lover' 'Bunnyboy' and 'Meet The Residents'
