Biography

Kansas City’s The Republic Tigers started as Kenn Jankowski’s (The Golden Republic) . With that band now defunct, The Republic Tigers have gone on to tour with Nada Surf and have their song Buildings & Mountains featured on ABC’s hit show Grey’s Anatomy. The Republic Tigers’ first full-length album Keep Color was released in March of 2008, crafting a blend of Rogue Wave-esque swooning indie rock with quirky touches of psychedelia reminiscent of The Flaming Lips.

Current band members are Kenn Jankowski, Adam McGill, Ryan Pinkston, Marc Pepperman, and Justin Tricomi. Justin Norcross left the band in 2007, establishing the current lineup.

    eh the ep doesn't resonate with me at all like keep color, but it's still enjoyable. i'll just say all music is like a view into the human soul, and it shows us in many ways how we're all not only similar, but connected. certain artists really tune me into the oneness of our collective experience, and this band is one of those. I hope I can get that from the new album
