Biography

The Rambling Roots are an acoustic folk duo consisting of Emma Morgan & Adam Wilkens originally from the UK. They play a mixture of cover music and co-write songs together concentrating on sweet sounds and harmonies.

Adam & Emma’s decision to create “The Rambling Roots” was decided at the beginning of Summer 2011 when they both moved to Tarifa on the South coast of Spain. Prior to that Adam was originally an acoustic solo artist with a large background of working with different bands and artists. Emma taught herself how to play guitar by occasionally taking part in open mics and writing her own original music. Ultimately the duo started forming when Adam recorded his first solo album at the beginning of 2011 and Emma featured on two tracks “Spider ate the fly” and “Cabo de Gata”, two songs they had both co-written whilst travelling in their 1970 VW campervan “Milow” around Europe in 2010. At the start of 2011 Adam started working as a solo artist collaborating with Emma for a few songs during his gigs. After sharing very similar ideas for composing music whilst travelling together, they both naturally blended into a duo and started working on their own original music.
Now they both write side by side mixing individual ideas for lyrics and melodies together creating a folky acoustic sound with sweet vocal harmonies and acoustic guitars.
