The Radio Grifters began as a late-night bar jam session in the small town of Cheongju, South Korea. Bryan Ray, an American, along with his Candian counterparts Matteo Cinanni and Mike Gallant would romp for hours on end well into the early mornings at the hallowed Pearl Jam Bar while the drinkers filtered out and the owner, Won Jae, began to clean up.

At some point, they decided to hone their jams into songs and began sculpting what would become “In A Poolside Cubicle.” Playing with their friends, G Jay, The Radio Grifters quickly gained a strong local following and began to play outside their little town in Seoul, Bucheon, and anywhere else that would have them.

As their one year visas neared expiration, they recorded “In A Poolside Cubicle” over the course of 4 Saturdays with their good friend, G Jay’s own Tony Body as engineer. Their tightness and willingness to explore always made their live shows epic, marathon experiences and they honed that into a different, yet equally enthralling album. “In A Poolside Cubicle” is their one and only album (for the time being) as Bryan relocated to Austin, Texas and Matteo to Toronto.

The Radio Grifters are Bryan Ray, Matteo Cinanni and Mike Gallant.
