The Raconteurs are an American rock band, formed in Nashville, Tennessee, United States, in 2005, featuring the songwriting of Jack White, of The White Stripes and singer songwriter Brendan Benson. In their own words, The Raconteurs are “a new band made up of old friends.”

The full band consists of:
Jack White (The White Stripes) - vocals, guitars, keyboards
Brendan Benson (solo) - vocals, guitars, keyboards
Jack Lawrence (The Greenhornes, Blanche) - bass guitar

Patrick Keeler (The Greenhornes) - drums

Dean Fertita from The Waxwings did live keyboards for the band in 2006; he also played in Brendan Benson’s band and is now touring with Queens Of The Stone Age.

The band had to change their name in Australia, since there already was a band named The Raconteurs there. The band is referred to as The Saboteurs in Australia.
