Recorded in 1964 by the line-up of John Cale, Lou Reed, Tony Conrad and Walter de Maria, “The Ostrich” is a quirky garage rock song which featured the first use of “ostrich tuning” (where all strings on the guitar are tuned to the same pitch class).
