There are at least three bands/artists with this name:

1) Three Roman Catholic priests from Ireland.
2) A rock band from New York
3) For the Gothic Metal Washington DC. band, see Priests

1) The Priests are three Roman Catholic priests from Ballyclare and Ballygowan in Northern Ireland who have been singing together since they were children. After signing a $2million record deal with SonyBMG in 2008 they have been recording an album in Ireland, London and have been allowed to record in St. Peter’s Basilica, The Vatican.

Their debut album was produced by Mike Hedges who has worked with, amongst others, U2, Dido and Manic Street Preachers, and is released on 24th November by Epic Records. It will be launched simultaneously in 33 countries and precedes an ITV documentary and PBS special in America.

Who they are:

* Father Eugene O’Hagan is of the Parish of Ballyclare and Ballygowan: Church of The Sacred Heart and Church of The Holy Family. Diocese of Down and Connor.

awno why it insists on correcting Priests scrobbles to this page but I believe the ways to fix it are this: -Go to individual tracks listed on this page that ARE songs from the DC post punk Priests and suggest a correction, then say that the name "Priests" is correct rather than "The Priests" -Go to this page: and in the top it should say "Did you mean: The Priests" on the left and "Flag This" on the right--hit "Flag This" and vote for "Priests is correct."

There's a mistake here. The catholic are "The Priest" and they were a classical music group. The rock band is just "Priest".

The Catholic Priest's debut album is doing pretty well. No.1 on the Irish album charts(?) I'm an atheist, but I can appreciate them musically. My mum's car is like a promo vehicle for them.
