Said the wait child, magic child, work it on out now work it
The wait child, pinball child, pool hall child hurts
The wait child, pacing child, forth and back now hurts
The wait child, a neon light, late night lights hurt

Most underrated musician of this era: Pete Farndon. Everybody talks about JHS, but LISTEN TO THE BASS!

jh scott-- such a great unheard of guitarist---had several bootlegs of early songs and he just smoked---the studio just couldn't do him justice... what a loss,

Gotta be one of my favorite Pretenders tunes. Sad James is no longer with us. He had some awesome chops - I wonder how often he had to re-string his guitar.

Is that James Honeyman or Chrissie going "Gang of Four"-style on the guitar? Super-catchy.
