listens to The Political Blockheads a lot

The Political Blockheads formed in 1982 by Randy Mentzer (guitar, vocals) and James Gaites (drums, vocals) to be the most political incorrect punk band in the world. They were soon joined by Douglas Knox (bass, vocals) and Buddy Mentzer (saxophone), and began performing their “speeches” (not songs) and live rallies (not concerts) for their fans, or generally anyone in the room that didn’t leave right away.

Doug and Buddy left the band after a few years, but were soon replaced by Doug Smith on bass and Bruce Reed on sax.

In 2000, the band finally released it’s first full length CD, “Help! I’m Stalin… And I Can’t Get Up!”, which received airplay on dozens of college radio stations in the US and Canada.

In 2008, the band released its 2nd CD, “Rhymes Against Humanity”, a composition alternating between punk rock songs and a farcical courtroom drama.
