Having read the description to this song: "The song is a tale of an apprentice who seeks esoteric wisdom under the tutelage of an erotic teacher, eventually superseding the mentor to become the master." I would have to say its not a human teacher that the apprentice is speaking about but rather the spirit without and within, ( not God ) but the spirit of the Universe, Brahman, Holy Spirit which are not God but they one spirit that is in all sentient beings. If you really listen to the words it sounds more like the Spirit of Life than a human or animal being. More like 'the force' than a individual entitee!
