The Peppermint Confederacy is an alternative country band from Atlanta, GA that started in Jacksonville, FL as a recording project with singer/songwriter Josh Miller and drummer/bassist John Rumbach. John left the band in 2005 and it remained a solo project for three years. In 2008, the project evolved into a three piece band with guitarist, Greg Kemp, and multi-instrumentalist Chris Firebaugh (formerly of Moros Eros). Since coming together as a band, they have written and recorded a full length CD and are currently playing locally in Atlanta.
They are most notable for their dreamy, relaxing approach to Alternative Country. With elements of shoegaze, noise rock, and psychedelia involved, they put their own spin on a typically dry, raw, and down to earth genre of music.
