It is very descriptive of life when you really listen to the lyrics. Dexter is a wise man - those of us who win the game give up their minds; I don't call that winning. What have I won today to win the game and just what have I sacrificed?
Smart people are blackballed into playing an idiots game by virtue of being a minority. So few of us...so many of them. They set all the social convention and constructs, etc. So it's either sell out or give up...or worse. But the thing about selling out is that you eventually become one of the bloodsucking, cut-throat people who bought you in. You become what you hated in the first place. What kind of existence is that?
