About this album

Recorded in August 2011, this is the first release by Bradenton, Florida’s Non-Dairy Screamers. The band consists of Stan Koci and Alan Henke; brothers-in-law that have been playing music together for 10+ years that decided to start recording some of their compositions. Recording on an old laptop, they are working on refining their sound and recording technique. Stay tuned to hear more releases as they become available!

Track Notes:

Ooze In Oz - Mostly instrumental, this will eventually have lyrics. Currently produced as a tool to work on vocal recording technique, the title comes from the oohs and aahs in the recorded vocal harmonies.

Digitest - Another instrumental, this was mixed by Stan while familiarizing himself with the loops library in Apple’s GarageBand. But it sounded nice so he thought he’d include it on this collection.

Morning Express - Written for a contest looking for a theme song for CNN Headline News’s morning show. If it’s one of the ten finalists on Tues., Aug. 16th, make sure to vote for it!

Into The Skies - A protest song of sorts, this song features a hard driving rhythm by Alan and lyrics that reflect the increasing unresponsiveness of our government’s leaders.

Maybe Tomorrow - Stan, after a history of snarky parodies like “Martha’s (Stewart) American Pie, and Bi-Curious George, wanted to wash off some of the bad karma and write something hopefully positive and uplifting.
