One of the greatest pop albums ever... Ever track is pure gold. The New pornographers have never made a bad album but I'm pretty sure they will never top this gem. A real desert island top 10 disk for me!

I just don't get why everyone says it takes a couple listens to get into this album. This was instantly my favorite album of theirs. "Myriad Harbour" and "Challengers" are just amazing and by far my favorite songs by TNP.

This album will undoubtedly be viewed in a more positive light after some years have passed. Not a "awesome in your face rock" like Twin Cinema, harder to appreciate but highly enjoyable nevertheless.

I'm listening to this album, and I"m trying to figure out how to get into it. It's so much more insular and meditative than their last three albums.

I gotta say...I was disappointed when I first heard Challengers. I had just gotten Twin Cinema and was blown away at the awesome songwriting and diverse collection of songs and awesome melodies. When I heard this for the first time I was like...huh? But this thing grows on you. My Rights Versus Yours, Unguided, Myriad Harbor, Go Places, Mutiny I Promise You....heck the entire album is filled with incredible material. Right now I'm convinced this is their best, just ahead of Twin Cinema.
