Craig Northey, Doug Elliott, and Pat Steward were joined by Murray Atkinson, to form The New Odds in 2007. Their first album is Cheerleader, released May 20, 2008.

Why, exactly, did they name themselves *the new* Odds? It seems a bit cheesy, but I figure it relates to some sort of contractual issue.

I could not believe it when I saw their CD in the store - totally did a double take and figured it must be some OTHER band. Nope, sounds like the same good stuff. And I thought all hope was lost that they would ever come back!

These guys need to get big. The new album is as good as their old stuff was. Very good work!
