The New Blue is Yale’s premiere all-female a cappella group. Founded in 1969, the year that Yale first admitted undergraduate women, the New Blue was also the first women’s organization of any kind on campus. Today, The New Blue is internationally known for its’ distinctively rich tone, deep alto basslines, and eclectic repertoire, ranging from traditional favorites of the past to award-winning renditions of current artists, ranging from Cole Porter and Aretha Franklin to Anita Baker to Sara Bareilles, U2, and The Cranberries and back again.
