This song is for the rats
Who hurled themselves into the ocean
When they saw that the explosives in the cargo hold
Were just about to blow

"This song is for the people Who tell their families that they're sorry For things they can't And won't feel sorry for" so this song is for me. thank you John Darnielle

Mountain Goats just aren't my style :-/ Allot of my friends with similar taste love them, and the lyrics are great, but the guy singing just makes the song boring. The sound of the instruments doesn't help much either. I guess it might be good to put you to sleep. All that said, I actually like this song.

Wow... I'm almost literally bored to death... and seriously... one of the 100 best living songwriters... I don't think so. This is some hardcore p*$$y $hit, man. Grow some testes, Darnielle.

I always hate the fact The Mountain Goats didn't play this song live. It would fit in so well in the acoustic section with just John Darnielle.
