The gurgling bass on this sounds so perfect for it.

Friends who don't have a clue, well meaning teachers is so poignant to me because I've felt that way so many times in my life.

No idea why, but the "half eaten gallons of ice cream in the freezer" line really hits with me for some reason.

When I first heart this song, I thought, "I don't think I can bear to listen to John Darnielle's songs. They tear right through to the heart of things and that is very hard to hear sometimes." [2] the peel session version makes me cry. fucking gorgeous.

This is one of the first songs I ever heard by the Mountain Goats. When I first heart this song, I thought, "I don't think I can bear to listen to John Darnielle's songs. They tear right through to the heart of things and that is very hard to hear sometimes." The line that always kills me is "Half eaten gallons of ice cream in the freezer"

The last line in this song may be my favorite line in the album. So beautiful.
