The Morning Of… hailing from Newburgh, NY, have quickly built up a rapid and loyal fan base through regional and national touring. Their first released EP “Welcome Change. Goodbye Gravity.”, achieved tremendous success through internet promotion and touring. No small feat considering the band had up until January 2007 solely toured the Northeast. The band’s presence on purevolume. com has attributed to their immense popularity as they garnered upward of 800,000 plays through word of mouth alone. “Welcome Change. Goodbye Gravity.” maintained a steady spot in the Top 50 best selling albums on Smartpunk.com for six months. The band has been featured on many webzines, including Absolutepunk.net as one of their Absolutely Unsigned Artists. Absolutepunk.net reviewed the EP, saying that “Welcome Change. Goodbye Gravity.” was a “stroke of brilliance.” At the end of the summer of 2007, The Morning Of’s freshman full-length “The World As We Knew It” was recorded and set to be released, but members James Bedore and Rob Curtis both left the band citing irreconcilable differences with the remaining members. Now the band has replaced James and Rob with Justin, Jimmi, and Jessica. The band re-recorded “The World As We Know It”, which was released on January 29th, available in stores everywhere.
