"New Horizons" is a 1972 song by the progressive rock band, The Moody Blues. Written by the bands lead guitarist Justin Hayward, it was included on their 1972 album Seventh Sojourn.
Justin Hayward wrote "New Horizons" both for his late father, and in anticipation of the birth of his daughter, Doremi. It has a similar theme to "Emily's Song," which John Lodge wrote for his newborn daughter on their previous album.
Well I've had dreams enough for one
And I've got love enough for three
I have my hopes to comfort me
I got my new horizons out to sea
