I was just thinking about how The Monkees are kind of viewed as a phony Beatles rip off. However, I don't really care. Gerry Goffin and Carole King were awesome. This is a great song.

Anyone who enjoys the Monkees, Spike Milligan, Zappa, Firesign Theatre Company, Woody Allen (in 'zany' mode), dreamy psychedelia, nonsense etc. should really hunt down a copy of 'Head'. A very entertaining film featuring this dreamy slice of pop perfection and more great music besides. The Monkees are so much more than their (very good) early hits would suggest.......and yes, Nesmith was the genius behind their greatest music. And he's left.....go figure!!

"i can SEE the music" - true! This is not something you just hear, it's something that fills the entire soul with colors and you can actually see and touch it!
