    After what seemed like an eternity - well, erm, 4 months - my PC has made a triumphant return, speakers an' all, actually playing music!

    Gone are the charts that were topped by Bob Marley, with Chaka Khan bringing up the rear and in comes... well...

    First plays? The albums of Kate Bush, Moka Only and Common. The latter I recently saw at the 02 Arena, incredibly playing a supporting role to Kanye West in what was an amazingly emotional night, played to perfection by two men on completely different ladders but nevertheless, epitomising what is so great about hip-hop. Be has gotta be one of my favourite tracks of this millenium and it certainly didn't disappoint live. Nor did the performance, stage presence and delivery of Kanye, being made even more poignant by the sad loss of his mother. Hey Mama!, the song our mum's all wish we had written for them, took on a whole new meaning. I have to say, I have not given the new album a great deal of time yet but I don't think it is in Kanye's nature to disappoint. …
