Till Then (2:50)

Cover of Anthology 1931-68 (disc 1)

From Anthology 1931-68 (disc 1) and 58 other releases

“Till Then,” was a tune written for “The Mills Brothers” in 1944, when many American servicemen were away at war, either in Europe or in the Pacific. It is a plea from one such serviceman to his love, asking her to wait for him. It is a timeless song, especially now when many of our Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Airmen are serving in war zones in the Middle East.

Till then, my darling, please wait for me
Till then, no matter when it will be
Some day, I know I'll be back again
Please wait, till then
