As close as this album comes to a straightforward rock song, and probably its most uplifting track. Coming on the heels of the apocalypse ("Trouble Down South"), this is first song in the rebuilding process. After the painful opening howl of the harmonica (which sounds both an alarm and a cry of pain), the song is fiery and resolute, driving forwards with stuttery, thumping drums and grinding electric guitar. Picking up the pieces isn't easy, since it's "hard to be human again"--but there's no other option. And we can do it with a little help from drink and from our friends (note the use of two-part harmony, which isn't much in evidence on the album's other songs).
