“L’Via L’Viaquez” is the second single from the album Frances the Mute by The Mars Volta. The song, in its unedited form, is 12 minutes and 22 seconds long, but was stripped down to receive radio play. The song, in total, features three guitar solos. John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ataxia) performs the first two guitar solos with Omar Rodriguez-Lopez performing the last solo. It also features a piano solo towards the end by Larry Harlow. The song ends with the coquí of Puerto Rico, which segues into “Miranda That Ghost Just Isn’t Holy Anymore” on the album. The song is partially sung in Spanish. The single appears in the video game Guitar Hero World Tour.
