Probably my favorite Magnetic Fields album aside from 69 Love Songs.

Much like Realism, I think this album is a LOT stronger when you have random songs come up from it on shuffle. There are some seriously gigantic songs here. Also, I agree with Seppooku... I can hear the lyrics perfectly.

This album reminds me of The Jesus and Mary Chain. And I love it.

It's unbelievable how in line this is with exactly what I want from music. Shirley Simms is amazing here and I hope they revisit this sound in the future because I don't know where else to get my fix.

So is the cover supposed to be blurred to go with the title?

This is fantastic - I've listened to it twice the first day I got it, and it's been years since I've done that with an album.

At first I was like wtf is this shit, but at the end of the cd I kind of like it. It would be better without all the distortion but that would defeat the whole purpose.

    S. Merritt goes distortion - wall of noise-guitar you'll find by hearing this. Remember the Jesus & Mary Chain... these tunes are great!
