Biography

The Luminaries are a pop/punk/rock band from Bristol, Tennessee. Founded by William Van Huss and Wayne Brains and influenced by such bands as Redd Kross, Queen, Weezer, The Dickies, The Damned, Foo Fighters, etc. Van Huss and Brains share vocal and guitar/bass duties and were joined by drummer Jack Costello for their debut e.p. “You’re So Cold” in 2007.

“Recording for a new full-length album was done over the summer of 2008 but as of September I have left The Luminaries. Since there were only two of us to begin with I suppose that ends the group, though I suspect that Wayne will continue and release the tracks that he had recorded for the new record. I will continue to make music, as well, and am currently working on some new recordings. Thanks to everyone who listened to our music and supported us.”
