https://deadlygoodmusic.wordpress.com/2014/07/25/the-louvin-brothers-tragic-songs-of-life-1956/ Review of the "Tragic songs of life" album by "The Louvin Brothers". Only thing tragic about this release was that it was released so I had to waste time listen to it for a review.

I would have hated to call the Louvins wimpy to their face. Especially Ira. Getting shot six times and surviving? Yeah, I don't think that's wimpy. Lots of mentions of Satan Is Real here but not as much love for Tragic Songs of Life? If you find the religious aspects too much for you then check that out.

@HampusForever: Though I'll say that you won't find too many non-wimpy close harmonies, the Everly Brothers had excellent close harmonies and could rock. They were, after all, not only inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame but also the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Okay... why exactly? Because I think the Louvins are a bit whimpy? You might think that I'm wrong but just calling me an idiot bestows that title on you more than on me.

'I'm still looking for a record that's half way as good as Satan Is Real though'. Get Songs that Tell a Story. It's excellent.
