There are at least 3 artists called The Ladies:
1. Collaboration between Rob Crow (Pinback, Thingy, a dozen others) and Zach Hill (Hella, Team Sleep, etc. etc.). Neither of them are a lady. Their debut album was released in early 2006 to many favourable reviews.
2. Richmond, VA hardcore/punk band The Ladies features members of Goddamn Wolves and Bad Advice. They’ve released four 7 inchs the first a five song self titled e.p. on singer Tony Bitch’s label Riff Raff (re-issued by Grave Mistake records) the second also s/t and known in circles as the “She Just Don’t Care” 7inch on Cowabunga! Records a co-released 4 song e. p. by No Way Records and Black Lung Records called the “Hole Sailor” ep. The last studio release was again put out by Grave Mistake a, the six song masterpiece “Six More Reasons To Hate…”
3. The name under which London-based songwriter Martin Austwick has been gigging and recording since 2005. Their debut EP “Tissue of Lies” was self-released in early 2006 to generally favourable reviews from local zines. They released two more EPs, Rosebud(2007) and Scrape the Paint(2008) after changing their name to The Sound of The Ladies.
