"See My Friends" is the first raga rock song.

"See My Friends" is a song by The Kinks, written by the group's singer and guitarist, Ray Davies. Released in 1965, it reached #10 on the UK Singles Chart. A rare foray into psychedelic rock for the group, it is credited by Jonathan Bellman as the first Western rock song to integrate Indian raga sounds, being released six months before the Beatles' "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)".

“See My Friends” is the first raga rock song - and I thought it was “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)” like most others. :D @KeithJones You are right sir! I've flagged the song to "See My Friends".

Please tag this song as See My Friends. The song is mistitled "See My Friend" (because this was how the song was identified on the initial UK single pressing); most subsequent issues of the song have used the correct "See My Friends" title.

"how is this only number 40 on their lastfm listening chart?!?" Probably because half the listeners tag it [track artist=The Kinks]See My Friends[/track]...!
