The Jude were a London-based rock ‘n’ roll band with a sound described as “vicious skiffle” - punchy, energetic music to get you dancing. Their final single ‘Heartbreaker’ was released on 12 March 2012, described by XFM as “excellent”.

The Jude’s debut release ‘Ha Ha Goodbye’ charted in the iTunes Alternative Chart at #8 in April 2011. The chart positions carried radio strength with XFM playlisting; and XFM’s John Kennedy, 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and BBC Radio London’s Gary Crowley all championing the track with frequent airplay.

Follow-up single ‘Les Filles Francaises’ received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, XFM, video rotation on NME TV, was made Record of the Day and featured in Music Week Presents. The song was also Huw Stephen’s ‘Tip of the Week’ on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing show. Later in Feb 2012 ‘Les Filles Francaises’ was added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist for a week; being played by Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills, Dev, Greg James, Huw Stephens, Edith Bowman, and Nick Grimshaw & Annie Mac.
